Anna Pestova works with singers of all ages and levels, from beginners discovering the possibilities of their voice for the first time to more experienced performers looking to refine their technique and expressiveness.
She is especially attentive to students with little or no previous vocal experience. In her lessons, Anna gradually introduces the fundamentals of breathing, vocal production, intonation, and musical hearing, while helping students build confidence and develop a natural relationship with their voice.
She places particular emphasis on the individual qualities of each student. Her lessons not only develop vocal skills but also encourage musicality, artistry, and the ability to express emotions freely through music. Anna creates a supportive and welcoming environment where each student can progress at their own pace and enjoy the experience of singing.
Teaching Philosophy
Anna's teaching merges classical traditions and modern voice science for a healthy, effective, and adaptable approach that emphasizes technical excellence and expressive artistry. This helps singers of all backgrounds develop confidence and discover their unique voice.

EDUCATION:
Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory - Master’s degree in Choral Conducting, Phonopedic Method of Voice Development (CPD), Estill Voice Training (Levels 1 and 2)
EXPERIENCE:
Anna was the choirmaster at the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia for over eight years. She prepared choir artists for opera and stage performances, led orchestral rehearsals and taught solo and ensemble singing. She also curated concert programs and collaborated on staging, musical interpretation, and artistic expression.
Anna directed the community vocal ensemble “Non-Serious Choir” in Montenegro. She developed singers from diverse backgrounds, organized concerts, and promoted artistic growth. The choir was non-professional but ambitious.
Now she is a director of vocal ensembles, including the amateur choir Unison and the academic ensemble Classica. She oversee repertoire selection, ensemble sound, vocal coaching, and concert preparation.
