NATÁLIA DREMINA

Violinist • Teacher

Natalia began studying the violin at the age of three. From an early age she was actively involved in performing, playing in various chamber ensembles and orchestras in Saint Petersburg. Throughout her musical education, she had the privilege of learning from distinguished teachers, including Z. N. Fishova, F. G. Kalman, L. A. Baranova, E. I. Zaitseva, and other renowned representatives of the Russian violin school. At the age of twelve, she moved to Saint Petersburg to continue her professional musical training.

Performance

Natalia has been actively performing from an early age, gaining experience in chamber ensembles and orchestras in Saint Petersburg. Her musical development was shaped by the traditions of the Russian violin school and distinguished teachers. She is now based in Porto, where she continues her artistic development at ESMAE, specializing in Historical and Baroque Performance Practice. This work allows her to explore historically informed approaches to performance while expanding her repertoire and experience as a violinist.

TEACHING:

Natalia combines extensive performance experience with a strong pedagogical background. She believes in creating a supportive and inspiring learning environment where students can develop their musical abilities, technical skills, and artistic expression with confidence and enjoyment.

Working with children of different ages and levels, Natalia strives to foster a lifelong love of music, helping each student achieve meaningful progress while maintaining a positive and motivating educational experience.

EDUCATION:

Graduated from the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg Music College, specializing in violin performance,

Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia in Saint Petersburg.

She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Violin Performance at ESMAE (Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo) in Porto, Portugal, specializing in Historical and Baroque Performance Practice.

EXPERIENCE:

Natalia teaches students of different ages and levels, helping them develop technique, musical awareness, and confidence on the violin. Her teaching combines the strong foundations of the Russian violin school with an individual approach to each student. She focuses on healthy technique, sound production, coordination, and conscious musical development. Her studies in Historical and Baroque Performance Practice in Porto also enrich her teaching with a broader understanding of different musical styles and performance traditions.
